Course Description
Sessions will include presentations of the latest scientific evidence regarding osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) and topics related to OMM research and practice within the field. Sessions are designed to encourage discussion about evidence and topics presented.

Dr. Lalonde has a doctorate in exercise physiology, a diploma in osteopathy (Canada) and a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. He is currently a professor in the Department of Physical Activity Sciences at the Université du Québec à Montréal. François was instrumental in the creation of the first osteopathic university programs in Quebec. The article being presented is the 
“International Overview of Somatic Dysfunction Assessment and Treatment in Osteopathic Research: A Scoping Review.” 
This scoping review is aimed at mapping the scientific literature that clarifies the roles, uses, and applications of somatic dysfunction in the osteopathic field. It reports on the physical examination, modality, and time frame details of the osteopathic profession to accomplish this aim.
